Perry Nouis lives with his wife, Jean, in Plymouth. They have been married 42 years. They have four grown children and eight grandchildren.
Perry is a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 24 years of combined U.S. Army (enlisted) and U.S. Air Force service. He was deployed twice to Iraq. He was a career Public Affairs Officer with assignments in Germany, South Korea, California, Maryland, Colorado, and North Carolina.
After retiring from the Air Force in 2004, Perry was the Administrator of a family-owned and operated Assisted Living facility – Nouis Home Care – a home for disabled veterans and the disadvantaged in his hometown of Little Falls.
In 2011, he joined U.S. Representative Chip Cravaak’s (MN08) staff and managed the Congressman’s Constituent Services office in Brainerd. He was responsible for managing the Congressman’s outreach programs throughout northern Minnesota. He was also the Congressman’s Press Secretary.
As the Director of Public Affairs for the United States Air Force Academy, Perry was responsible for the Academy’s Community Relations and Media Relations programs. He and his staff coordinated Academy programs and issues with U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives throughout the country. He was also Chief, National Affairs for NORAD & United States Space Command.
Perry is a board member and former Chairman of the Air Force Public Affairs Association. As an avid golfer, he is a coach for blind golfers and serves on the board of the United States Blind Golf Association.
He is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a degree in business management and he holds a master’s degree in public administration from National University.
